Background: The Association of Minnesota Emergency Managers (AMEM) has served Minnesotans since 1955. As a non-profit organization AMEM is dedicated to advocate disaster preparedness at all level throughout Minnesota. This is accomplished through education of emergency managers, education of local and state officials about disaster preparedness as well as public education on personal preparedness. AMEM is rooted in county and city emergency managers, but also includes other emergency response personnel from local and state agencies, as well as private and non-profit organizations. AMEM’s membership is comprised of over 440 emergency response planners throughout the state of Minnesota.
Mission: AMEM is an Association of professional emergency managers dedicated to advocating and advancing effective emergency management capabilities and practices statewide.

Purpose of AMEM Annual Conference Sponsorship: As a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization AMEM (the Association) accepts charitable donations from individuals, small businesses, corporations and government entities to further our Vision through the execution of its Annual Fall Training Conference (the Conference).
Usage of funds donated: Funds donated will be used to offset costs associated with the Annual Fall Conference. All funds donated for the Conference will be used only for activities related to the Conference. These donated funds may not in part or in entirety be used during the year of donation and may be applied to future Annual Fall Conferences as the association sees fit. All donated funds will be tracked and accounted for by the Association Financial Audit Committee. The only exception is for donations where the explicit purpose is agreed to by both parties at time of donation.
Appropriateness of donations: The Association Board of Directors will review all proposed donations with the intent of protecting the Associations integrity. Decisions on acceptance of donations will be made in a timely manner. The Association reserves the right to refuse any or all donations for any reason without explanation.
Conference sponsorship levels: The following four sponsorship levels have defined packages. All contributions under $500 are greatly appreciated and will be acknowledged in the official Conference Program Guide and during general session announcements.
